Those Goals
Finally finished another scene. Of all the scenes I had to film twice it was the one in my own backyard. I paid the actors because they had to show up twice.
Filming during magic hour, and especially blue hour is a race against the clock. All for the best as we discovered new things to do the next time we filmed.
Almost got the cops called on me even though I warned my nearest neighbor that we’re filming. Turned out the actor was so loud he scared everyone on the street, especially those walking their dogs.
I’m really foucsed on finishing all the scenes this month, we’ll see if that happens.
One of the places I’m going back to film at is closed for good, so I’ll have to shoot at a similar place and hope I can match them up with editing in post.
I helped my brother move out so I feel better about all the times I’ve had him and his fiance work as crew.
I’m using the SCRUM method to stay on task, and knock out all my other goals as well. Can’t recommend it enough.
Between using SCRUM and writing down my goals I’ve achieved the following
- Filming every week
- Featuring at a comedy club
- Finally got my podcast started
- Doing this blog regularly
- Reading more novels, instead of just doing non-fiction
- Sending out edited scenes to friends to get feedback
My business was doing better, but since I’ve been so focused on filmmaking and comedy it’s dropped.
Gotta get back focused on that so I can pay those gimmicks that keep coming the mail.
