Firing on All Cylinders
I was going to stay back from doing so much comedy so I could focus more on the movie, but I’ve been getting so many bookings that’s not an option. The people beckon.
They say just focus on one thing at at time, but am I supposed to just drop comedy to make the movie, that’s stupid.
I love that my training business is doing better. I’m done doing that broke comedian bullshit, I’m almost 35 years old, laughs are great but even better is an IRA with compound interest.
So I tried to film the massage studio scenes but the lead actor (my brother) was busy with his girlfriend (priorities), so I was only able to schedule the garage audition scene. But each day one actor or even two actors had scheduling issues, so no filming for 2 weeks in a row. Which sucks because I wanted to film some more scenes so I’d be ready for the colossal schedule that happens when Lindsey gets here on the 25th.
I’ll be too busy with comedy and the grandparents visiting for any filming this weekend. She’s getting worse every year, which tends to happen to humans as they age, so definitely need to give her all the attention I can. It’ll be strange living on this world with the person who raised me no longer in existence.
One of the actors I regretted casting decided to backout and didn’t want to do the movie, little did he know that was the best thing he could’ve told me. I’ve learned to only work with people I’m enthusiastic about working with, not just because it’s sort of practical, or they look the part. There’s enough moving parts already, no need to make it even more stressful.
Also, doing some scouting for an arcade tournament scene at Ultra Arcade tonight, going to compare it to UFO footage. And picking up the DIY sound gear Lucas made and see if it’s up to standards, if so, he just saved me about a grand in audio equipment.
It’ll be interesting to see what I talk about next week after the craziness of this weeks comedy schedule. Hopefully some filming to talk about as well.
